Huntington Beach’s Moon-Rumsey, Murrieta Mesa’s Browne win @ OC Multis!

- Huntington Beach High junior Kyli Moon-Rumsey was the top high school scorer in 4 of the 7 event disciplines to win the inaugural OC Multis competition at Northwood High with a grand total of 3,945 points over two days of competition! Moon-Rumsey led the preps in the 100-meter hurdles (16.34 seconds), the 200-meter dash (26.72), the javelin throw (93 feet, 11 inches) and the 800-meter run (2:39.26).
- Murrieta Mesa senior Daniel Browne racked up 5,648 points to win the decathlon competition, taking the overall lead in the very first event (winning the 100 in 11.67) and holding the upper hand the rest of the way. Browne also posted the leading mark in the long jump (6.04 meters), the high jump (5-11.50), the 400 (53.77), and the 110-meter hurdles (15.20).
- There were a total of 23 male competitors and nine female competitors. Most competed as high schoolers while there were a couple of "open" entrants as well. Congratulations to co-organizers Don Turnbull and Louie Muniz on hosting a successful event!
